Title: Unkown Motor

I have a motor. Its from nichibo company and i cant find the data sheet for it. the numbers on the out side are RA250077-57301 DC 12 v S.Y. my question is dose anyone know how many amps are needed for this motor. A motor in another post http://www.societyofrobots.com/robotforum/index.php?topic=43.0 (http://www.societyofrobots.com/robotforum/index.php?topic=43.0)

was marked with RA250077-50C01. Its max amps is .7 according to the post. Is the one i have like that or at least 2A or less. Can anyone help?

Measure the motor yourself.

The DC resistance of the windings along with the voltage gives close to the Stall current from Ohm's Law.
Apply 12V and measure the current unloaded and then with load to get an idea of normal operating current.
