Title: 7th SoR Robot Contest ideas!
Post by: voyager2 on June 13, 2011, 05:30:13 AM
Hi All, especially Admin

I had an idea for the next SoR contest;
How about a robot with no MCU?
(ie: No Axon/PIC/AVR, just 555's, comparators and passive components)
Plus extra points for general coolness and functionality!
And probably no rules against soldering together your own Intel 4004 hehe.....
Just an idea though.

Please pick apart and debate.

As you probably guessed, I like the SoR competitions , building a cardboard AXON was fun lol

well, if you explain how to utilize a 555 timer then we could have our own little contest.

In the same concept, I could just use an FPGA...

That's just not right guys, a general electronics contest would be cool yeah!
But hey just binary ICs? And there is a ton of already made projects out there.... :/
