OK this is completely off topic of every thing else and makes me sound like a 5 yr. old, but do you guys know if the army or anyone has ever made robotic armor kind of like iron man? Just asking... :)

I'm pretty sure people have made exoskeleton type robots, where they wear something on the outside of their legs or arms to make them "stronger". But I don't think we have the technology to make a stand alone suit yet. I don't think batteries would be up to the task.

There are quite a few, not as advanced as iron man one, however, something towards that side. All the publicly available/known ones are used for assistance purposes and not as a weapon. Even if there is something similar to iron man armor it would be top secret project as most hi tech weapons.
Have a look at these:
- BLEEX (http://bleex.me.berkeley.edu/research/exoskeleton/bleex/)
- HAL (http://www.cyberdyne.jp/english/)
- Hardiman (http://davidszondy.com/future/robot/hardiman.htm)
- Power Loader (http://www.popsci.com/scitech/article/2009-09/power-loader-real-still-no-word-aliens-though)
- Raytheon's Sarcos XOS 2 (http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/28/raytheons-sarcos-xos-2-military-exoskeleton-just-does-the-heavy/)

Yeah I've researched the xos exoskeleton
