Hi,
I am a newbie in Robotics and presently I am working on servos. It would be very helpful of you people if u can clarify my simple doubts (listed below)
1. Servo spec says it can be powered by 4.8 to 6v supply. should this supply be regulated or unregulated would also work
2. What is more preferable 6V unregulated supply or 6V, 5A regulated supply. Is their a substantial benefit of using Voltage regulation
Anticipating a quick reply and thanks in advance

As long as it is within the specs at all time, both will work.

Regulated would be a very good idea, as an unregulated 6V may be more than 6V at times. If you want to use an unregulated voltage, back it down a notch to make sure it won't ever be over 6V (or use a servo that can handle 7.2V).

Don't, it annoys and brands you as a gimme-gimme type :)
