When you guys say like attach something to ground where is that??? To any ground on the circuit or some specific place? Please help! If you don't know know what I'm talking about post a reply asking for more info.

Is ground negative and is power positive I don't get it?

Also on the 9v battery clip, which wire is positive and which one is negative? And where do you solder it to?

Ground is "negative" part of the battery.

In DC (ie batteries) the - side is usually represented as ground ( for simple power/ motor circuits). and the + side is where the voltage is fed in from the + side of the battery

On a battery each side is labeled + or -. On standard 9v US batteries the smaller terminal is +.
Its usually a good idea to get a connector that goes to the battery instead of soldering leads directly to the battery.

(I'm not promoting any particular site however it came up when I googled the connector, it has a picture, and the price looked good (cheaper than digikey))

lol i wrote the same response as you at work, but got a call and forgot about it..
Ground is normally -. Electrons COME from - technically :P
Needless to say:
