I have a project I am working on and I want to very accurately, (+/- 0.01mm) measure linear travel.
I have been looking into how digital calipers do it, and it seems like they use a capacitive system.
Does anyone know if something like this can be purchased, or if something like this is build able?
I have been thinking about buying a cheap digital caliper and seeing if I can carefully dismantle it to be used in my application, but ideally I want several of them and even cheap digital calipers can add up.
