I remember as a child I was fascinated with the concept of lasers used in combat. But in reality-land it never happened. Until now.

That said, they estimate another 9 years before full deployment, although I wouldn't be surprised if that's sped up given some future immediate need . . .

So, by logical extension, anyone taking a pottery class is now a suspect terrorist, making laser-resistant equipment carriers?
Soon, you're going to need a license to buy a kiln!

If we follow the slippery slope logic anyone owning a mirror would also qualify :)
