Title: Robotic arm that copies human arm

HI guys, im trying to create a robotic arm that can be controlled by human arm. I have seen and researched quite few concept. Now I am trying to recreate this concept from this video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYG19lhlA3c (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYG19lhlA3c) . Any of you guys have a background on creating this? tia :)

The most cost effective solution I can think of is to use potentiometers at the joints in order to gauge the angles.  You basically treat the pots like absolute analog encoders, but you will have to do some calibrations to ensure your angles are correct.  Do you need me to go into further detail?

I found an instructable to do one A LOT better It is based on the In moov 3d printed hand. (you dont need to have a 3d printer) you can use Shapeways.com just send the files and they send you the printed parts.
