Title: Connecting Sharp IR to $50 - Wire Connections?
Post by: HDL_CinC_Dragon on September 08, 2007, 04:20:44 PM
I didnt realize I had to order the premade wire separately from the website so I had to modify some audio cable off an old sound card... my question is: what pins on the Sharp IR go to GND, 5v, and data?

-Thanks

lol thanks admin, That should be all the info I need :)

and yeah, the Sharp IR did not come with wiring. I ordered from Junun Robotics (http://www.junun.org/MarkIII/Info.jsp?item=73) and the second "paragraph" says that you need to buy the wires separately and gives you a link... charges you a dollar for them too... its my fault really, didnt read the whole thing... ah well, just adds to the fun :P

Ok so based on the image, with the RangeFinder facing you and the connector facing upwards, the order from left to right is Red, Black, Yellow right?
