i want to make a robot that would detect a sound source of 1000hz among many frequencies and go near it...
actually i was facing problem...wat device or circuit should i use to receive the sound source....so that i can connect dis signal to a filter and carry on....actually im thinking of a microphone but hw would i connect dis to my circuit....can any 1 help me........

Hi
You can feed your microphone into a tone decoder circuit. Essentially this circuit is the bandpass that the admin spoke about plus it can trigger an output line when that frequency is detected.
