Title: Line following LEGO bi-ped - extremely well done

found this after watching Airmans "Basic Line Follower Robot" youtube video in that little video carasel thing

I didnt build it though :'(

Thats pretty freakin sweet IMO... It kinda goes pretty smoothly minus the pauses in between moving the "cab"... look at how little the cab actually shakes... except of course when its turning... lol but seriously, that makes me want to implement that on a larger and faster(for admins sake :-p) scale. and put a servo under the cab so when the body turns, the cab turns in the opposite direction so it cancels out... MechWarrior For The Win?

hmmm... If I make it about 250x scale I can prolly put some nice anti-matter lasers in the arms... and maybe a positron launcher in the chest... perhaps a rail gun on each shoulder along with a TOW missile launcher.... im gunna need some bigger batteries! (runs off to walmart)

Hey I found that video too! And also after watching airmans video  :P lol
anyway, I would make it go faster indeed.
I thought of a servo that would make the body go from left to right, from the hips out. (try it with your own body and you'll understand better ;) )
And it would swing right when it lifts its left leg and steps forward with it.

It wouldn't be easy to make, but nothing fun is...

Now that I'm typing this I just thought of this: This concept will make the robot quite unstable on uneven terrain... :(
I'm going to ponder on this for a little while longer I guess :)

Ive seen someone use a hexapod for a line follower . . . it would sense the line as it moved . . . it worked but the major problem it had was that moving drastically changed the location of the line with respect to the sensors. You will have to find a way to stablize the sensor movement/detection . . .
