Post by: Caduscus on December 05, 2007, 04:05:21 PM
Hi i'm tanner, erm...i'm from America, i'm 13, i've reading books on robots since I could read xD, I'm kind of a nerd I guess but a nerd with actual friends, that aren't nerdy...so does that make me a nerd? Anyway I'm funny and Smart, not to be big headed... I hope to build my first robot soon. Though i haven't even started the Chassis  ;D

Welcome aboard!  You will find that there are very few, if any, nerds here.  You should try out the $50 robot described on this site!
Title: Thanks!

Alright, i'll look into that, and i've checked out a bunch of books from the library...I might need some general help building robots in general...because i have no prior knowledge of electronics or anything(if you don't count me tearing open all kinds of things to see how they work, and legos  :D)

Right now i'm trying to build (for my first robot ever) something like hyper Squirrel if you've seen it, with tank treads and sharp IR, I'm really trying to understand electronics, like how to actually build circuit boards from stratch...but it's hard =( isn't there some kind of book like 'microcontrollers and circuits for retards"  ;)
