Title: UART in air

hey folks, i have my bot connected to the pc via the uart serial port rs-232.
i need to make this connection wireless , its actually 2 wires
,any good range i can get? what are the IC's i can use for best performance?

bluetooth is good, but has short range...
Xbee is relatively inexpensive and has fairly long range
Easy Radio (though I never heard it called that) is very inexpensive, but has no error correction capabilities.  (see places like Rentron... http://www.rentron.com/PicBasic/RemoteControl.htm)

there are three classes for bluetooth, short, medium, and long
class 1 can do like 100 meters
