They have small kits (about 2 pounds, enough to fill a cereal bowl) that we use at work all the time.  buy a kit, and get the pamphlet they sell also, and you'll be good to go for whatever you need to do.

I use a smooth-on product to make skin for one of my robots. I developed my own special process ;D

I'll write a tutorial on it some day . . .
