what is the little circut board in the front-left corner

I think that's the Infrared emitter detector.

it dectects the freakin signal it puts out as the name emitter/detector says..  :o

I think he meant what was it's purpose, line followers don't usually need any remote input

sorry guys

i just figured it out after i posted and didn't have time to go make and change it

with it mounted on top it can't be for line following

is it maybe so that when line following it doesn't hit a wall

It is my photoresistor circuit, my LED circuit (a resistor), and has connectors for everything to keep it all modular.
