It's a cool looking robot base. Promise you'll add a microcontroller and some sensors to it. The problem would be turning the robot as there are only one front wheel, which is also the driving one. If you intend to make it turnable, you could hook up the back wheels to a servo, and let the servo turn when the robot will do so, and then you let the front wheel motor turn backwards.
Hehe, i did have a good laugh, when it knocked itself over when hitting the wall. ^^

lol sorry but you cant really call it a robot...its more of a thing you explode for fun ;D lol no...good design liked the cd boxes. check out the tutorials http://www.societyofrobots.com/ they willl help you greatly. add a few sensors/some cheap photoresistors and make it a line follower ;D or an obstical avoider. good luck
-
how did you attach the wheels (aka cd's) to the motors
-
it looks like a ghetto band or gears. notice the 2cm gap between the center of cd lol
-
i wouldn't call it robot too ;]
and i need to practise on something, so why not on this ;p
here you have some more pics:

thats the blurryest thing ive seen since i got windex on the camera lense!
-
sorry for that, but i'm using my mobile camera with only 2Mpixels...
what more i moved my hand a bit and now you see the effects ;p and for now i'm just too lazy to take more shots ;p
-
2MPixels is more than enough, as you can see by the fact that the pics are way too big.
Next time, resize your images. And if they'r that blurry, don't bother. They're not worth it, no the effort for putting them up, nor my bandwith.
anyway, nice...riding thing.
-
one thing you could to is put it on tracks and send it around the room
-
great robot for a beginer. i made cd wheels for my $50 robot, but ditched them in favor of RC car wheels.
and no fair it lets you use huge pics, but resizes mine to 300x500
-
even the forum hates ed lol. for my wheels i generally use wheels from toy cars that cost like $3 lol

Put a float and some paddles on your spokes and you've got yourself an amphibious robot.
Until it shorts itself out for not being waterproof...okay, nevermind...
Cool concept for a wheel. I like the idea of a servo controlled caster in the back.

You should try attach a ON/OFF button to it, so u wont have 2 put the wire on each time 2 run it, then pray it wont fall off again. Nice robot btw
