Title: AVRISP mk2
Post by: Geir on March 06, 2008, 04:22:25 PM
Hi!

I just bought the AVRISP mk2 programmer and a ATmega168. First time i got the pins from the programmer wrong and it started blinking. But i reconnected every ting and it looks fine. But the led is always red i cant get avrstudio to connect to target. It connects to the programmer but not to Atmega. Can find the problem, im running on 3.3v, and i tryd just plugging the vdd and gnd from the programmer to 3.3 and look at the Vtarget and it reads 0.0v OK. Any one know whats wrong have i fried it?

Did you reverse ground and power when you got the pins wrong? (but I dont think that will break it)

Its a solid red LED?

When it was blinking, what color was it? Orange?

It sounds like your wiring is not correct, or that you have an intermittent connection.
