If I made that public, people would just post to get the count up - and not to actually help others with robot questions.

This has been discussed before about a year ago, but I'm too lazy to dig up that post . . .

i remember admin said in the last topic about this, that he changes the rank manualy. so you can have 2million posts but you havent posted anything important or you havent learnt anything you can still be a junior

not true, only the yellow and green robots are done manually.
But to the topicstarter, search the forum before you post a topic. And as you've already understood, nobody gets respect for their post count, it's the accomplishments that count.

If I remember correctly...
1-8 posts is beginner member.
9-47 posts is junior member
48+ is full member
So far I think 120+ posts is the next increment
And 500+ is supreme robot.
Expert robotist (green bots) goes to the old timers who have been on SoR from 2005, or Admin sets them himself...

Still, why does it matter? There are some guys that were on this forum that had about 200 posts that had oceans more knowledge than most of the people with 1K+ posts

I agree it doesn't mater, dosent mean you can't get exited you go up in "rank".
