Title: torque to climb stairs

hw to calculate torque required by motors to climb stairs........???
shud i use rmf calc nd in d angle column put d angle of d stairs or shud i calc torque by applying forces for each stair????????

Will the robot be climbing all of the stairs at the same time, or will it be ascending one step at a time?  Answer that and you have your answer to which force measurement to use.

the robot has to climb around 10 stairs in one go...............first the robot will climb the stairs one by one and wen its whole body is on stairs den ofcrse it will climb all atirs.........the weight of my robot will be around 10 kgs without motors..............

Sounds like you will have to calculate both sets of torque then and use the higher requirements for your motors.

The RMF calculation will give you the minimum torque you require . . . but calculating for worst case is very difficult because it includes dynamic torque.

Just calculate for RMF, then add like ~30% more.
