I'm trying to order all the parts needed to make my $50 robot, but the HS-311 Servo is out of stock ATM. Is there a recommended substitute I could use for the project?
-
try any equvalent futaba servo, they are good

You can order the HS-311 online. Go to the Hitec website, theyll have a list of online vendors that sell their products.

Thanks much! Ill be ordering today for sure :P
Edit: I actually ended up finding some on ebay :P

All the HITEC servos have the same elelectronic characteristics - so its all down to price/availability. If you cant get HS-311 then try HS-322HD. Hitec stuff is made more complex at the moment as they have just bought out a new range of stuff.

dont buy the generic chinese servos - they are a piece of crap
I only buy GWS, Hitec, Parallax, or Futaba

The ones I bought are actually Hitec HS-311's (so the auction said)
Hopefully they aren't piece of crap imitations O.o

no no .. they are very good , hitec servos are very cool and reliable
