Thanks Steve!

Thanks super :D I actually got started into robotics with Lego. :) That stuff at the end is hot glue.

Thanks Bane! Yeah, it just wobbles back and forth. But it's pretty spiffy. I used iMovie '08 for the first video in my post, and old iMovie HD for the second. :)

Robotgrrl,
going over your website a bit I noticed something. We are missing tutorials on how to build more artistic style robots. Most of us just build little guys that run around. But like your BubbleBoy we miss the artistic side of things. For instance the the yellow drum machine done by another member of our forum here

http://www.societyofrobots.com/robotforum/index.php?topic=3657.0 (http://www.societyofrobots.com/robotforum/index.php?topic=3657.0)

This is cool and artistic in design. We tend to try and make everything navigate better or interact with humans better. I'm not very artistic but if I get a unique inspiration for something I might run with it. Keep up the good work

so did you break it int he end that hot glue started coming out......

Adruino or lego both are very good for beginners, adruino will provide you some kinda challenge in electronics but lego completely takes that away

AND IT IS VERY NICE TO SEE AN ACTIVE GIRL MEMBER IN THE FORUM, u may be the 1st one ... keep it up...

Thanks a bunch guys!

I will try to make a tutorial on how to make an artistic robot. It's just natural to me, so I will have to think about it. :)

I'm going to be trying to interface it with my Human-Machine conversation program I made :)

Thanks!

Oh yeah, and it doesn't move randomly - it's a program.

PS: I like Pokemon

Robotgrrl, how about bubble feet to get it to dance?

And pikachu is amazing!

I use a pic of him as my cell phone wall paper, and named many of my robots after him :D

Oh, and the user Aubrey makes artistic robots, too. She always tells me (offline) that visible wires make robots look ugly, but I kinda think it makes them look cool . . .
