What would happen if I charged this battery http://www.all-battery.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=432
with this charger http://www.all-battery.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1566
I need to know what would happen to the charger and to the battery itself , I searched google but couldn't find anything about charging a NiCD battery with a NiMH charger, only about charging a NiMH battery with a NiCd charger.
Thanks,
Eric

I feel very stupid now
After carefully reading the specifications I found out that it can charge NiCD
does this rule that NiMH can charge NiCD apply universally to all chargers?

I have the RS900 from Lacrosse technology and it does both.
So....

NIcd and Nimh charging is realtively the same and easily done , the problem is with charging li-ion so there compatibility will matter

Actually there is a problem is charging Nimhs with a Nicd fast charger. Nimhs are designed for much slower charging than Nicds can handle and Nicd and Nimh fully charged states are detected differently between the two charger types. Generally you can charge a Nicd with a Nimh charger, but not the reverse.
There are now chargers and chipsets that can handle pretty much every battery type out there now, including LiPo and LiOn, all with a single circuit.

Here's the chip that does it all: http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/bq2000.html
