Title: AVRISP 2 stays red when connected to target

My AVRISP 2 stays red when connected to target...It blinks orange if i interchange a few wires,but otherwise its not working..I had to upgrade my firmware as my programmer was made in Nov 2007..After i upgraded, it worked two or three times,but after that its is not working at all.I have tried manual firmware upgrade, but it hasnt helped me.

Double check the programmer board that your IC socket is on with a multimeter.

How are you powering it?

Double check your wiring, sounds like you made a mistake . . .
