Title: Circuit Breaker Question...

If I want to protect my robot (running on 24V), with a circuit breaker (say 70A cutoff), would it be OK to use a household 120VAC 60A circuit breaker, or will it not work correctly (or not have the same rating) at 24VDC?

Why don't you simply use a fuse...

Cause fuses are not reusable. The same question would apply to fuses, by the way.

I use Heinemann AC circuit breakers in DC applications. For about 20 years now. Never a problem.
A 20 amp AC breaker holds at 20 DC and trips below 25 DC, just like on 120 VAC

Fuses will take up less space and probably save you money . . . unless you blow fuses every day . . .
