Hi there!

Some of you might like this robot that I made. It's quite simple! It's called a Styrobot, and basically it is a vibrating DC motor connected to a switch (antenna) that will make the Styrobot go 'Bzzt!' and move around and jiggle its googley eyes.

So... the whole purpose of this robot is to not only look cool and move, but also raise money for me to go to the Stanford EPGY AI program. :D They sell for $20. You can check them out on my blog (robotgrrl.com) and at my shop (robotgrrl.etsy.com).

I hope to one day have a bigger vibrating DC motor and connect a herd of Styrobots and set up an ANN. However, that would be in the future. :D

Try adding some sort of "intelligence" to it! You could perhaps start simple with some switches or something to control speed or angle of the motor. You don't need to go microcontrolled AI right away, and when you want to do that there's lots of great tutorials that will teach you ALOT at

theres no real drive system. it just vibrates around the table like when someone calls your cell phone sitting on the table.

and im sorry I have to add...

it's almost a decreased version of your other bot....BubbleBoy?

But ill check out your website and all...(don't give up)


EDIT: I took a look at your website...You seem to have put alot of infomation about your schools in your blog?...
