Title: stairbot
Post by: pomprocker on June 01, 2008, 03:40:25 PM
My home has stairs, but also on the first floor the entrance area is raised up that divides the living room from the rest of the house. My robots are very limited to what they can do here because I don't have a single big area not blocked off my a raised area.

I found this really neat stairbot:

seems very complicated. I would LOVE to be able to integrate stair-climbing into all my future differential drive robots.

Yep... S.H.R.I.M.P is another "famous" one... I too wish there was a "simple" cost-effecive mechanism to deal with stairs... the company that does come up with such a design is sure to make a lot of money!!!!
