so, i need a transmitter for my upcoming project, preferably 6-8 channels.
anybody have any recommendations?
i'll be using it through an ardiuno dec.
I was thinking of something like this: http://www.servocity.com/html/optic_6_systems.html
But, one thing I was thinking/concerned about/want:
the ability to push a button or two to activate something, such as lights on my bot or activate a pre-programmed servo routine. I think all the channels on the radios like the one above are all pwm, which is easy enough to convert to analog.

is the only advantage speed? I was probably going to just use servos because it would probably be easier.

Hi momo: The web site was working the last I looked. As with most free web sites I am sure they go down lots of times. Anyway you can also find the info on http://www.instructables.com
The project is called: How To Radio Control DC Motors Cheaply
The advantage is you can use bigger motors so you can build bigger robots. Also RC servos don't last too long when you have them driving robots.
