Title: Check my schematic
Post by: MadMax on August 19, 2008, 04:36:54 AM
Yes, I ask of you exactly what the title says: please check out my schematic and see if everything is fine. I'm pretty good at programming, but entirely new to electronics.
It's a fairly simple schematic, so ye ol' veterans won't have any problems spotting any errors.

Schematic (PDF) (http://home.hetnet.nl/~maxhenger/servo controller PDF schematic.pdf)
Board (PDF) (http://home.hetnet.nl/~maxhenger/servo controller PDF board.pdf)

EDIT:
in the schematic, SV10 is a header that is connected to a 5V regulator,
1 = +/- 6V (directly from battery)
2 = GND
3 = +5V

Thanks in advance

No power caps for the PIC.
I assume the 8 connectors are servo connectors, you should allow for a different power supply for them. Connecting them to the PIC's VCC directly might not be such a good idea (esspecially if you intend to run your pic at 3.3V for example :P)

Oh sorry, I forgot to explain,

in the schematic, SV10 is a header that is connected to a 5V regulator,
1 = +/- 6V (directly from battery)
2 = GND
3 = +5V

I'll update the first post.

Looks ok to me.

You may want to run regulated power to some of the headers for various sensors.
