Sorry, wasn't sure if this should have gone in the electronics or mechanics.
I appear to have a servo that won't budge. I don't mean plugged into electronics or anything, I mean it won't budge when I move the servo horn with my hand, in either direction. It's a Hitec 322 HD standard servo. I have four others like it and they move fine. Is it broken? Anyone know?
Thanks.

The gears might have something jammed from manufacturing, a piece of plastic or so.
Try opening it and see if this is the case.

maybe the internal potentiometer is bad, i've seen potentiometers can't move b/c of errors in manufacturing.

Thanks guys. I'll probably just buy another servo...

I agree. Even if the electronics where bad, you should still be able to move it manually. Take it apart and check the gears. I assume you haven't modified it yet right? If you have, you might have glued the small gear or tightened the servos screws too hard.

Nope, haven't modified it or anything. It was that way right out of the box.
I'll check the gears, see if that's the problem. Thanks!

If it is broken straight out of the box, exchange it. If it is the gears, and you don't want to exchange it, replacement gears are usually only about $4 or $5.
