Title: Cheapest place to get header pins?
Post by: Razor Concepts on September 08, 2008, 05:40:06 PM
Hi, I need about 50 header pins, and only that. They're very cheap on most web sites but the shipping is usually very high. Where would be the best place to get the cheapest header pins including shipping? Thanks!

Borrow them from work (ask first), and promise to replace it later.  ;D

Google helps to find "electronic stores" in "virginia", which doesnt help very much. Put in more specifics and there arent any results  :o  Yellow pages tends to put in a lot of bad results in, like Best Buy and CircuitCity. I'm trying to find one of those specific store locators... like to find hobby stores, I go here (http://www.horizonhobby.com/storelocator/), type in my zip code, and instantly get a huge list of hobby stores. Just wondering if that exists for electronic component stores...

I buy most of my electronics from Mouser or Newark.  Both have very good selections and good prices.

I would now like to reminisce about a long time ago in a galaxy far away when Radio Shack actually had a decent selection of electronic components...

Got my samples in two days. But my header pins were one sided! Oops, hate their "build-a-part" system, I guess I messed it up. Put in another order for the right ones (I hope).

The pins only came out of one side of the plastic, making it impossible to attach them to my board.
