Title: How to generate bursts for IR Detection

Please help me....i can't get those bursts ??? I can generate 33Khz frequency through 555 but its continuous one ,how to make those with bursts ??

I am not using any PIC.I have heard that the bursts can be produced through another 555 but how in which mode they should operate and what frequency it should generate ?

I am using TSOP 1333 for IR detection.

well i think you should use second 555 to trigger first 555(that creates33khz signal) in timely manner to get 33khz bursts

how can i calculate all those stuffs bursts cycles etc. etc.?? both 555 timer should operate in astable mode ?? what frequency should the first 555 timer generate ??

aruna1 gave you good advice.  There's oodles of information on the web about 555 timer usage that will give you the details about how to accomplish what he suggests.

The frequency of the first IC555 can be around 100hz.

Just use a transistor to permit/deny the 555's output.

Look the 555 is the worst way...
I use the 16 bit counter of my AVR....

Look there is an old trick about this.... You can make a robot follow something by this....
Lower frequencies have longer wave length cause the material the pass through remains the same (air).
You can find it by this math: u = f X l  (where u is speed, f is frequency and l is wave length)

So if the basic detection range of the 33kHz burst is 30cm let's say, the 38kHz would be 10cm let's say and 29kHz burst would be 60cm!!!!
Let alone you can experiment more easily....
