So they are rechargeable batteries that use the 5v supplied from a USB port, maybe a tad convienent/easy and its the only power adapter thats completely universal worldwide...
also, global warming is a myth...
-
USB is only 5V, while most robot mcu's require at least 6V or more. ;D
-
The usb is just for charging them. They would provide the same voltage as a regular NiMH cell.
I could just see someone powering their robot with 5 of the AA's and then their computer has a bunch of batteries sticking out of it when theyre recharging them. :D
-
They charge slow and have low capacity compared to normal NiMH batteries.
That's what I read two years or so ago, anyways.

makes sense in my mind. The cell, charging circuit, and USB head all in the package the size and dimensions of a AA battery. Cant be too powerful

From what I read, they use 1300mAh NiMH for batteries and of course USB for charging...
I think that's for AA, but consider that you can get 2700mAh AA NiMH batteries, nowadays....
And as told before, global warming is just a myth, a capitalistic consumerism myth...
The only thing environmentalists here in my region did, was to close a racing track...
Cause they though that the birds nearby will be disturbed......
ha.... F@ckers....
GOOD FOR NOTHING, both these batteries and environmentalism...
They are good only if you don't have a charger nearby and you desperately need power...
But STILL not so good...
