Post by: icoms8 on November 17, 2008, 09:28:26 PM
i have a few questions, first if i have a LED display like thishttp://www.westfloridacomponents.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=LED006&Category_Code=BarsLEDs&Store_Code=wfc (http://www.westfloridacomponents.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=LED006&Category_Code=BarsLEDs&Store_Code=wfc) do i solder the pins in the microcontroller or connict it somhow, also if i use buttons like thishttp://www.westfloridacomponents.com/1556/Surface+Mount+SWITCHES+~+SMT+SMD+Tact+Switch+~+SPST.html (http://www.westfloridacomponents.com/1556/Surface+Mount+SWITCHES+~+SMT+SMD+Tact+Switch+~+SPST.html) and i connict it to the microcontorller is there a plastic thing i can put over it to make it have a larger surface area. one more question if i what to connect three perf boards on with the LED display only and then the buttons only to the microconntroller with the ICU how would i do it. can you show me some links?

for the 7-segment, you can solder it directly to the board. for the button (tact switch), i have not seen one that can be placed over it, but you can buy other switches that have larger surface.  and i did not understand your last question.
