I found this building material at solarbotics and was wondering if any body has ever used it and how strong it is
-
It's what I'm going to be using for my robot! This robot is made out of expanded pvc (sintra) http://letsmakerobots.com/node/2938

The 6mm expanded PVC is quite rigid. Here's a shot of a high-wire challenge robot we made. The bottom bot uses it. It's easy to cut, machine, drill & tap. I've also used aluminum threaded inserts with great success.
