Heck i started the robot but an engineer told me dat i cud not make it in india because f sum variations in voltage in this country. he said the photoresistors wudnot work well

But the robot runs off batteries !!
Admittedly the ambient light levels might be higher on average than here in the UK but the worst case is that you may need to tweak with the resistor value that you use in conjuction with the photoresistor.

Dude I also live in India and I don't think there should be any problems...Remember you aren't using AC current its DC batteries that are being used.
In the international parts list on the front page, there are several online web-sites that have most of the parts and many arent hard to find.
I have tried out robokits and they're very reliable and fast.
You shouldnt have a problem.

Depends on if you can find a charger for your battery that works with whatever voltage you have in india.
