i have to prepare a thesis about this subject , i have searched the internet a lot but ,,nada,, i couldnt find somthing valueble
i came by this ,its interesting how they are reading the monkeys brain signals using multi-layer arrays of electrodes

There are tons of published papers on this free and in pdf form. Look up the researchers website, if his work is worth anything he'll have it up free for download ;D
Oh and expect it to be heavy in neuroscience and electro-physiology terminology - expert level stuff!
