Title: New AVR controller
Post by: geek1 on December 31, 2008, 07:31:48 AM
Hey guys, I was on the AVR website and apparently they just released a new series of microcontrollers called the XMEGA. Anybody got a chance to try them out yet?

bad features about xmega:

They don't operate about above 3.5V (or was it 3.3V? I don't remember). This might cause a problem if you require 5V signals (servos will work with 3.3V).

Also, very little community/compiler support. No XMegaLib, for example.

There are some great features about it such PWM features perfect for motor drivers.
