Title: hooking up a RC receiver to a microcontroller
Post by: bobby123 on January 06, 2009, 11:18:04 PM
here is the situation:

I got a small BASIC Stamp controller (the kind you get in a box saying "What is a Microcontroller?")
I also, have a RC 2 channel transmitter and receiver.

I currently have the BASIC Stamp controller setup to run a program when I push a button on the bread board.  I would like replace the button with the RC receiver.  That way I can be across the room or outside and still start the program.

I have read the tutorials on RC, wireless, and alike; but me being a beginner to this stuff I was unable to follow the diagram/instruction in the tutorials.

Could someone break it down real simple and step-by-step for me?
All your help is greatly appreciated,

Bobby

P.S. If you require any more information I'll be happy to post with more information.

You probably want to move on to a more advanced mcu. The Stamp is very limited yet costs just as much as AVRs and PICs . . .
