Hi
Im currently trying to interface a dissected walkie talkie that i have
I want it to send out a pre-recorded message from my speaker/headphone jack
I this possible and also i have two different walkie talkie types one runs on 49.860Mhz and the other on 145Mhz i think(because the marking is pointing towards a special switch box that has about 8 or so leads running in on one side and same on the other???
I want to transmit on the 145 Mhz one and and receive on the other one
Any help would be appreciated

Unfortunately the frequencies on your walkie talkies will have to match. You won't be able to xmit at 145MHz and receive that signal on 49.86MHz. Its like a FM radio, you dial in the frequency you want to listen to. Otherwise you would have to listen to them all at the same time. :)

Hi Again
What i mean is can i change their crystals so they can communicate ???
Ive heard you can't

It entirely depends on the rest of the circuitry attached to the crystal. Usually, no.
