hi i have a problem that i think is quit seereos i live in britan and i am making the $50 robot but can not find the servo that u are suposed to use for the $50 robot for a desent price so i thought i would get a different one but wasent sure if it would be ok to use and if i hade to change the programing and what i would have to change the programing to.
here are the specs on the servo i whant to get but it dident say what modole it was like sh-311, it just said hitec servo.
This servo be used in any standard servo application such as radio control, but it can also be used in its own right as an accurate and powerful actuation unit for robotics and remotely controlled movements.

Negative - brown

so is it ok for me to use this servo and is it better or wors than the servo the guy whants me to use.
plz help me i am a biginer in robotics and dont know what is ok to use and not.

Expect to wait even a couple days before getting a reply to your posts, Strydom.
As long as its an analog and not a digital servo you can use it. The modification to make it continuously rotate should be pretty much the same as well.
That servo you posted a link to is actually a little bit stronger than the HS-311 which should make you happy. Just remember to get 2 of them to make your drive system :)

All analog servos are the same, and digitals are mad expensive so dont worry 'slong as you have three cords, red black and white or yellow

yes thanx but this servo has red/brown and orange wires
but i think that still ok isent it.
