an extension of a nerve cell,
similar in shape to a thread,
that transmits impulses
outward from the cell body

how interesting  :D reminiscent of the axon microcontroller. electrical impulses anyone?

My Axon took a lot of inspiration from the Cerebellum microcontroller (http://botrics.com/products/cereb/). ;D

I was also considering calling it 'Synapse' and 'Dendrite', but Axon just sounded better.
