Post by: JonnyAlpha on January 31, 2009, 09:12:23 AM
Hi I have found a couple of PS2s in a skip, one powers up the other I haven't tried yet, anyone know of any sites anywhere using a PS2 within a Robot, surely it must have some use?

i have heard of ps2's used in robots but i don't know any websites. just rip the circuitry out if you don't want the casing and use the "motherboard" as a robot control i suppose.

To modify and use a PS2 as a robot... requires at least you know how to program FPGA, to do a JTAG for the memories for programming....
and well, some more....

I don't really think that even an expert really thinks about it...
More over you must find the datasheets for the main processor... and I don't think Sony just gives these away cause knowing the hardware
modchips come with easy....
