Title: benchtop cable pulling caddy
Post by: pomprocker on February 05, 2009, 12:24:30 AM
Does anyone have any links to any affordable benchtop cable pulling caddies for 20-26awg hookup wire spools

The ones returning from my google search are overkill..

you could make one. Specially if you have a pegboard on your workbench. Then its just a matter of bending some heavy duty wire to hang out far enough from the pegboard to take your spindles.

If you don't have a pegboard then you can just make one. A little bit of wood and some small dowel rods or metal rods would work great. Glue one side down and then hold the other side with some kind of pin or better yet get some threaded rod and just stick a bolt on the end.

I found that CD spindles work well for holding wire

I made my own using a rod mounted at two ends.

If you have a work bench and some gutter nails, just nail a few in and call it a day :P
