Title: interesting article on electronic systems within cars
Post by: Admin on February 05, 2009, 10:13:23 AM
Apparently cars have nearly 100 microcontrollers and almost 100 million lines of code . . . predictions estimate that in the next ten years or so 50% the cost of a car will be the electronics systems. Sounds like they're hiring robotics engineers ;D

Lets hope they keep the hardware safety nets so cars don't become the next Therac-25  ;D

Sounds like they're [car companies] hiring robotics engineers ;D

Not if they're going out of buisiness; the big three are not doing very well right now.  :-\ However, if Toyota or Honda are doing this (which they have been for years), we can finally create and have driverless cars...  8)
