Title: Receivers
Post by: TravelingPencil on March 17, 2007, 12:12:51 PM
I was wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to use a different receiver with a Vex FM transmitter, it uses a 75.97MHZ crystal on channel 89 and has 6 channels. I ask this because I don't want to buy the Vex microcontroler to use be able to use the receiver that comes with it. Also if you do find one please make sure that it has 6 Channels and has a battery channel that is different from all the other channels. Thanks

This is the transmitter and receiver:

In theory it will work as long as the reciever and transmitter use exactly the same crystal type. But I dont know what they look like for vex or if its user accessible . . .

Try emailing/calling the manufacturer:

Ask to speak to an engineer if the salesrep cant help (engineers love a challenge!).
