Title: Beginning

I am really fascinated by technology and in particular robotics.  I really want to get into robotics and general mechanical and electrical type stuff, but I am just a beginner!!!  I would really appreciate some fun and useful ways to really get into this stuff andget creative.  I do not want to do those little useless kits that serve no practical purpose, I want to do things that have practical application or a just outright cool.  Thanks

Well I started with the $50 robot in february '08 and i've learned a lot. Why don't you start there.
