Title: Hacking a Terminator Ending man computer system

hi,

My dad got me a Terminator 7 Ending Man BS-500 AS (pic below) when i was 10. i loved it so much but now i am 20 and don't use it at all... its lying dormant somewhere in my house and i thought why not hack it. when i searched it in the net i couldn't find much information. i just came to know that it has an 8 bit microprocessor.

I opened the top cover of it and to my surprise i found that it hardly has components. it has a big microprocessor and 3 connectors to put the cartridge and joysticks. it has a small board which controls the video output. 

I know that nothing can be done with the microprocessor in the console.  but has anyone tried something like feeding data through the cartridge connector and doing something cool?

That would be cool but I'm guessing the MCU is OTP (one time programmable) so it would be very difficult to do anything with it due to the probable limitatation of the OTP.

yeah thats correct!
But can anything be done with the cartridge? i searched a lot in the net about how the data is stored in these cartridges and what type of protocol is used in these devives. but no info is available.

Well... I do know that this has been done with GB and GBA games, also with something called the SuperCard, which goes into a GBA slot. With this you can make homebrew apps/games and much more. Just check out homebrew stuff on the web and see if anyone has done that, then from there you can learn how they did it and try it yourself. :)

Let me know if come across anything with NDS control of stuff via wifi, if that comes up of course  :)
