Title: Joystick signal to Fortress Wheelchairs Controller
Post by: bmbedard on April 21, 2009, 11:16:16 AM
There's someone knowing the signals specifications of the joysticks connecting to Fortress Wheelchairs motor controller?

The company says that the don't have this info anymore...

Thanks

Hi,

If you've got one of them, it should be an easy task to find out by measuring/'scoping the lines connecting it while it's active.

Hi Soeren,

I had one, I had already probed my signals and tried to replicate them, but with no success. I monitored each lines and learn the behavior of each one with the action I does on the joystick but it seems to miss something. If I let the joystick plugged-in and put tension on the 2 motor channels I get something but I don't want to let the joystick on my robot.

Hi,

"Had"?
If you still got it (or access to it), couldn't you open it and see what's inside?
How many wires does it use and how many switches has it got (besides the obvious four; forward, back, left and right)?
What other components are inside?
Could you post (sharp) close up photos of the innards?

Feel free to post whatever results you allready got, however inconclusive they may seem.
