I went ahead and transferred all the info from google docs to the member tutorial area

I also took the liberty to define some publication standards. Just to give everyone an idea of what is needed when a module is designed. I will edit the Physical and Communications standards later. They just need to be put into better plainer english.
As it is right now this is the standard for building a module. I don't see any major changes in the future. From this point on any major changes will almost need to warrant a new version of the standard. That way people can start working on modules and we don't have to worry about outdating someone in the middle of a design.

Awesome. I will order the parts for my colour sensor soon. I think this could actually survive this time around.

hopefully yes, and thanks for the doc asellith :) but just to clarify a few things for me as im no handyman :D
1. 3.5mm mounting hole, is this from side to side or from side to middle?
2. "the holes should be .1" to center from the edges" does this mean the should be .1" from the center of the hole to the edge of the board?
3. where abouts do you want the I2C connectors to be on the board, it says TBA...
and i have asked admin for a member page to house a small tutorial on how to make a decent module, what goes into it, and to maybe house current libraries.

the reason i put these in google docs the first time was so that anyone who was part of the project could edit/update them.
it's your choice though.
i'll be leaving on my trip in 3 weeks so won't be on SOR much from then on.

@Dunk Google docs worked great but at some point we need to start finalizing things. I just transferred the documents over whole sale for now but I am going to edit them later to clean them up. Unless you think we still need to iron out more details. There are just a few things. Like the placement of the I2C connectors and maybe a few more layout issues to work out.

same with me, as far as i know www.futurlec.com.au (http://) has all the stuff i need except for the pcb boards which i get from my teacher for cheap. take a look on the usa site.

yea, i have 80mins of it today, but its just basic stuff like how to make a continuity tester...
but he buys in bulk thus getting discounts then passing them on to me

where is this school , if so high or middle. you are very lucky compaired to me.

im in high, the only thing i like buying from my teacher is pc boards as he gives them to me for $1 under retail price. i generally buy everything else online for BIG discounts... 8c per led, yes please! but you guys in the U.S are much more lucky than me as i have to import most sensors like sharp ir, sonar and the works which costs me big bucks...
$25 for a sharp ir, no thanks!
one more thing i would like to ask is, i am writing a tutorial for the modules and i am stuck on the point of how to create more than one page? i really don't want to have one really long page that noobs will run from.

You create a child page and link it to the first page. View the page and at the bottom it lists add a child page.

ahhh thanks, i always thought child page was like child friendly....
