O.k, I want to make a digital calendar(sorta like a digital photo frame) but I would like it be able to add text to each square. Anyone know how I could make this? There would also be one arrow in the right corner pointing to the right to go to the next month/s and a arrow in the left corner to go to previous months(deletable if you put the memory card into the computer and delete it).Any ideas?
Thanks

do you have any experience with this sort of stuff?
im assuming you want touch screen? this will be a hard one....

Baby steps first... don't rush into huge projects like these. 100% of the people I have seen rushing into big projects have abandoned them due to complexity. Start off small... but keep your eventual goals in mind.

So, I think I should just make the calendar with arrows that are not on the screen but on a rim below the screen.Could anyone help me with this project? It will be fun and challenging?

I just had an idea, couldn't you just make a digital photo frame then make it so you could edit the pictures/calendar pages
and be able to use a small keyboard to type events on the calender(borders around each day square)? I just thought about that but have no idea how I would do it......any ideas? Btw I would love to make a prototype that isn't a touch screen but it's hard to not use it.

Basically with the stuff that will be required... you're making a computer ;)

you could try hacking a sciphone? they're only like $70-$80.. touch screen and calendars...

i've seen projects online for putting custom firmware on digital picture frames.
that's how i would do it.
